Print and Fulfilment Partner
case study

How a premium wall art brand moved 1,800 SKUs to JONDO Europe in four weeks, and launched the oversized formats it couldn't produce before

The Brand

A UK premium wall art brand selling large-format framed canvas direct to consumers, with a catalogue of more than 1,800 designs and paid acquisition driving growth. At premium price points, the product is the brand promise, which makes production quality a commercial risk rather than an operational detail.

"We sell large-format framed canvas at premium price points, so a print that's slightly off, a frame that's marked, or a parcel that arrives late costs us a customer, not just an order."

The problem: their growth was capped by production

The brand's previous setup had three failure modes, and they compounded.

Quality varied batch to batch: Every escape landed on the brand, not the supplier: refunds, reprints, support time, and a review score that reflected someone else's inconsistency.

Dispatch times were unpredictable: For a business whose customer promise is set at the point of sale, a variable dispatch window is a variable brand promise.

Costs weren't transparent enough to model: Without a reliable landed cost per SKU, planning paid media spend became guesswork, and paid media was the growth engine.

The result was a hard ceiling. Bigger, more ambitious formats weren't viable. New markets couldn't be served properly. The supplier had stopped being a partner and started being the limit.

Why JONDO Europe

Three things decided it:

  • Pricing they could model margin from: Clear, structured rates, so ad spend could be planned against a known cost base rather than an estimate.

  • The size and product range they actually needed:  Including the panoramic and oversized formats their previous partner couldn't hold to specification.

  • UK, EU and US production under one roof: One specification, one quality standard, one account team, rather than a separate supplier project for every market.

The fourth factor was less easy to put in a rate card:

"The people mattered too. The support team come back quickly and specifically when something needs fixing, which is rarer than it should be."

The move: 1,800 SKUs in four weeks

Migrating a catalogue of this size is a serious piece of work, and it was treated as one. The heaviest lift was artwork specification: getting 1,800 designs mapped to substrate, frame profile and finish so that the first print was right, not the third.

"The guidance we got meant issues were caught before customers ever saw them."

Onboarding completed in four weeks. JONDO Europe now produces 100% of the brand's orders.

What Changed

  • Bigger formats became a category: Panoramic and oversized canvas, up to 150×75cm and 125×125cm, moved from impossible to best-selling. The brand has launched around 30 new designs since transferring.

  • The delivery promise firmed up: Dispatch settled to a consistent 1–3 working day SLA, and the brand's Trustpilot score moved from 4.1 to 4.3.

  • Europe standardised: The same product specification, produced to the same standard, across markets, rather than a different compromise in each one.

  • The US opened: First US orders placed, serving a market the brand previously couldn't approach properly.

Costs stopped surprising. Structured, transparent pricing with no unexpected charges, which is what made confident media planning possible again.

In the brand's words

"Our previous setup had become the limit on how fast we could grow. Inconsistent quality and unpredictable costs made it impossible to scale with confidence. Since moving to JONDO we've been able to launch bigger, more ambitious pieces, expand into the US, and push growth knowing production will hold up. It's changed what we're able to plan for."

Why this happens at JONDO Europe

Two plants, one standard. UK production in Aldershot, EU production in Bor: same substrates, same frame profiles, same QC, either side of the border. Orders are made in the customer's market, which means domestic delivery promises, no customs friction, and no second integration project.

Consistency isn't a claim we make in adjectives. It's a number we'll evidence on your own artwork, before you commit a single order.
